Miguel Garcia is Senior Vice President, Product Development and Chief Technology Officer for GXS and is responsible for technology strategy and all product and service engineering. Mr. Garcia is a seasoned product development leader with more than 25 years of professional experience. He has extensive international experience leading global software development teams with a proven track record of building products from concept to commercial delivery.
Mr. Garcia most recently held the position of SVP Product Development, Performance Optimization Applications with SAP/Business Objects in Paris, France. He was responsible for integrating a cohesive suite of performance optimization applications based on SAP’s many acquisitions in this space. Prior to SAP/Business Objects, he ran global product development organizations for several major organizations including S1 Corporation, Cando.com, CNN.com (AOL/Time Warner), and Openware Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Garcia received a Master of Science degree in computer science from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, South America.
