Richard B. Nash is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at GXS. He is responsible for GXS’s legal and regulatory affairs worldwide.
Mr. Nash has over 20 years of experience advising public and privately-held companies in the technology, communications and financial services sectors, in the United States and internationally. Prior to joining GXS in 2008, Mr. Nash was Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc., a financial services firm, and of FBR Capital Markets Corporation, its investment banking subsidiary. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Nash was Vice President, Corporate Affairs of Intelsat, a global satellite communications and broadcast services provider. From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Nash was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Global TeleSystems, an Internet and communications company with operations in 22 countries.
Mr. Nash earlier was in private practice with Pepper Hamilton LLP in Washington, D.C. and with Price Waterhouse in the former Soviet Union. He was a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow in Germany where he worked with the government on the privatization of eastern German companies and as an attorney-advisor at Siemens AG. Mr. Nash received his A.B. from Princeton University (Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs) and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
