Course Description:
This task-based course provides a complete overview of Enterprise System on UNIX and includes interactive discussions, lectures and demonstrations of topics and should be attended by personnel responsible for Enterprise System Administration and Operational and Integration Support. Participants review and monitor critical processes and file sizes; how to capitalize on under-utilized, commands and undocumented new options; and, what the utilities are and how to perform overall systems troubleshooting, preparation for upgrades, and performance tuning. Daily, weekly and monthly tasks will be reviewed.

Required Prerequisites:
  • Completion of the Enterprise System on UNIX course
  • Able to perform basic Unix command-line operations such as listing, copying and editing files
  • Understanding of EDI basics
  • Familiarity with the Enterprise System Concepts Guide and System Overview
  • Be very familiar with your company business processes and EAI and EDI strategies
  • Know your company’s Enterprise System base software type and version to include a list of optionally purchased add-on products
Course Objective:
Participants will be able to competently perform administrative duties for Advanced Enterprise for UNIX including monitoring in order to troubleshoot bridge and communication problems. They will understand and be able to execute backup strategy via a review of TNET files and restore and disaster recovery for the system.
