Medical
GXS offers a comprehensive Medical Benefits Program to cover you and your family for your medical, prescription, vision and behavioral health needs. GXS pays the major portion of the costs for your coverage; you contribute through pre-tax payroll deductions.

Coverage includes:

  • Doctor’s office visits
  • Prescription drugs
  • Preventive care and health screens
  • Mental health and substance abuse
  • Vision care
The plan provides you and your family with access to quality, comprehensive medical coverage through a network of healthcare providers. When you see your primary care physician or other providers within our network of providers, your care is covered at 100 percent, after you pay a fixed-dollar co-pay for certain services. There is no deductible for services obtained through network providers.

Other benefits of the health plan include:
  • No referral requirement from your Primary Care Physician to see a specialist
  • Low out-of-pocket costs for covered services
  • Full coverage for preventive care
  • No claim forms to file
You always have the option to see a healthcare provider outside the network for care, although you will pay a greater share of the cost and typically have to file claim forms.

Dental Care
The company's dental program provides coverage for preventive and diagnostic services as well as major services and child orthodontic care (available in all locations).

Vision Care
Our vision care program gives you the option to save on the cost of vision care by using network ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians who have agreed to discounted rates.

Disability Programs
The company's disability benefits provide short- and long-term income replacement in case an illness or injury prevents you from working.

Health Care and Dependent Day-Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
The Health Care and Dependent Day-Care FSA can be used to pay for any additional medical care coverage and/or day care for a qualified dependent.

Retirement Savings Plans
GXS offers a 401(k) program so that you can plan for your future financial security and obligations. Through payroll deductions, you may contribute from 1% to 50% of your pay on a before-tax basis (subject to IRS rules). In addition, you may make after-tax contributions from 1% to 50% of your pay. Your total contribution, before tax and after tax, cannot exceed 50%. GXS matches one dollar for each dollar (either before tax or after tax) up to 3% of your pay, and 50 cents for each dollar on the next 2% of your pay. You are immediately 100% vested in your 401(k) account balance.

Education Benefits
Our tuition-assistance program is available to help you improve the skills you need to succeed in your job and develop your career. Benefits include tuition reimbursement for courses related to your current or potential field of work at GXS.

Vacation
The number of vacation days you are eligible to take each year depends on the length of your continuous service.

Holidays
At most locations, employees receive 11 paid holidays each year.

Personal Time Off
You may be eligible for paid time off to take care of important personal business that cannot be handled outside of normal work hours. Management approval is required for personal business time off. In addition, paid time off is available for a death in the family and jury duty. Differential pay is available for certain military training or disaster relief duty.

Family and Medical Leaves of Absence
GXS provides unpaid leaves of absence to allow you to attend to personal, medical and certain family needs. Eligibility begins after one year of service.

Providing Security for Your Family
Life and accident insurance plans can provide your family with substantial financial protection in case of your death. GXS pays for a basic level of coverage, and you can purchase additional coverage at excellent group rates.

GXS Work/Life Connections gives you access to experienced counselors who can help you with complicated work and life matters by providing information, resources and advice. Services include:

  • Adoption Assistance: Provides financial assistance, counseling and referral services for employees who adopt a child.
  • Parenting Assistance: Provides tips on raising your children and addressing learning difficulties or conflicts with teachers.
  • Child-Care Assistance: Provides access to child-care counselors to help you locate child care in your community
  • Counseling on Education and Careers: Provides assistance to you and your children to help select a school, plan for college and manage your career.
  • Elder-Care Assistance: Provides counseling and referral services that cover a variety of elder-care needs.
GXS Emergency and Family Aid Plan
Loans and grants are available to help employees with immediate financial needs should an unexpected hardship, personal emergency or natural disaster strike.
