Robert L. Kamba
Senior Vice President, Global Operations and CIO

Robert L. Kamba is Senior Vice President of Global Operations and CIO for GXS. In this role, he is responsible for GXS's global network operations and information technology infrastructure.  This includes the company’s global data centers, infrastructure planning, engineering and implementation and facilities.

Prior to joining GXS, Mr. Kamba served as Vice President of Wireline Markets at VeriSign. He previously served as Vice President & Practice Head at American Management Systems in Fairfax, Virginia.  In that role, Mr. Kamba’s focus was to grow the business through new customers, partnerships, alliances and acquisitions. Prior to American Management Systems, Mr. Kamba held several executive positions at companies including PSINet and COLO.com.

He began his career at MCI as a manager of switching systems and worked his way to Senior Vice President, Network Management & Technical Support. At MCI, Mr. Kamba was responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s domestic and global voice and data networks, the design and implementation of complex customer networks, advanced network solutions, and Information Technology operations.
