Steven Scala

Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Steven Scala is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at GXS. In this role, he is responsible for managing the integration of new businesses and partnerships into the GXS organizational structure, as well as working with the company's Business Development organization on all due diligence efforts.

Mr. Scala gained his nearly 20 years of professional experience at IBM and General Electric Corporation businesses in such areas as software, information systems and business-to-business electronic commerce.

He has also served as GXS's General Manager of software solutions and as the Marketing Director of EDI software and services, which under his leadership recaptured the number-one market-share position. From the early 1980s to the late 1990s, he held positions of increasing responsibility with IBM in marketing, sales and programming. Mr. Scala received a bachelor of science degree in Management Information Systems from New Hampshire College in 1982 and a master's degree in Management Science from the University of South Florida in 1989.
