We recognize that not everyone is as passionate about B2B integration as we are. So for those who are not experts at integration, we have packaged up the various Trading Grid® services into “applications.” If you simply want to exchange messages related to a particular business process you can select one of these applications, which will include everything you need. We offer applications for tracking individual orders or shipments through the supply chain. We also offer apps to exchange product catalogs and electronic invoices.
For example, each country in Europe has different requirements for how invoices can be legally exchanged electronically. Some countries require digital signatures. Most require invoices to be archived for some period of time. Other countries have specific data fields that must be populated for the invoice to be considered valid. Our Active Invoices application packages together all the necessary combinations of integration services for each European country. We keep up to date on changes to the legislation so that you do not need to worry about it.
But our applications are much more than just a package of integration services. We also provide a web portal that allows you to create and send (or receive and download) electronic documents. The applications also allow you to view the timeline associated with a specific transaction. And we offer analytics and reports that provide insights into the data you are exchanging.
For example, the Active Invoice application includes a web interface that allows small businesses who lack EDI and XML capabilities to create invoices online. Once the invoice is submitted, a supplier can check the payment status online without having to phone their customer’s accounting department. The application also includes the capability to run reports on invoices which had exceptions and to view copies online.
These applications are delivered in a software as a service (SaaS) model. There is no software to license, install or maintain. You can access the applications via an Internet Browser with a user ID and password. You pay only a monthly recurring fee that is either based upon your usage or a subscription rate.

Catalog—You can exchange electronic product catalogs between buyers and suppliers. For each product in the catalog, attributes such as brand name, color, size, style, pricing, packaging, weights and minimum order quantity can be shared.
Orders—You can track the status of all outstanding purchase orders with a community of suppliers. Research which orders have been acknowledged changed, shipped, invoiced or paid.
Logistics—You can track the status of any container shipment as it travels on trucks, ships, rail cars or planes between its origin and warehouses, customs inspection facilities.
